Sorry it is a bit short and it is my very first fan fic so don’t be to hard on it? Oh well Enjoy!

Now came the hard part, saying good bye. She felt a single tear drop from her eye on to her cheek at the thought. For the first time she had real friends and they didn’t treat her differently because she was a princess. Never before had she meet people like that.

As the sun began to rise higher into the sky, other students began to come outside. It reminded her when she would get up ever morning and exercise. As she looked down below her, then she saw him. Jacen Solo. He was siting by the river where they had first kissed. She knew now that the kiss it self wasn’t entirely to surprise him. After so long, it had dawned upon her, she loved him, pure and simple. At that her face gave a faintest smile and she headed down the side of the large temple, towards the river.

They had never truly gotten together, but she could tell, at least she hoped she could tell, that Jacen liked her to. Tenel Ka knew it was time to tell him how she felt, she had to before she left, ‘This is a fact’ she thought to herself.

Jacen Solo sat contemplating by the river near his former place of study, the Jedi Academy. He could hardly believe that this was his last day on the jungle moon. He had been here so long, over four years. He just couldn’t be leaving, could he? He had signed on to the New Republic’s peace keeping team, the one most Jedi chose to be on. At least have Lowie there too. He thought of his large ginger furred friend and chuckled a bit. ‘Wonder how they’re going to react when they see him.’ He smiled at the thought.

His twin sister Jaina was going to be a pilot for the New Republic until Zekk got his act together and asked Jaina to marry him. After the whole thing with the Diversity Alliance, he had been pretty sure they were a couple.

Then his thoughts drifted to Tenel Ka, which wasn’t a rare thing anymore he noted. She had decided to go back to Dathimor for a while and then go back to Hapes and study to become the ruler of the massive cluster. With that his smile turned to a frown. He was going to miss her the most. No more seeing her just after her workouts in the morning and that was one of the reasons why he got up so early every day.

Then all of a sudden she was there. Standing before him in a brief lizard hide suit. Her beautiful copper hair was up in their normal arrangement of braids. Every thing was normal except the look of uneasiness in her cool gray eyes.

" Um, hi Tenel Ka." Jacen said uncertainly " Uh, do you wanna here a joke?" It was the only thing he could think of. Tenel looked as if she were about to cry, but she slowly nodded her usually unemotional head. " Ok let me think, which one haven’t I told you yet?" he said thinking out loud. " Alright I got one. What do you call the person who brings a rancor its dinner?" Jacen smiled. At that a small tear rolled down her face. " I didn’t think it was that bad." He apologized.

" He is an appetizer. This is a fact." Tenel Ka said slowly.

Jacen looked at her in surprise. ‘How in the galaxy did she get it?’ he wondered. At that the girl in front of him burst into tears. "What is it? I really didn’t mean to offend you or anything." he said. He was very confused.

" It is not anything like that Jacen, It is however the first joke you ever told me." She sat down on the rocks near him and tried desperately to collect herself. Jacen noted that she did not say ‘ Jacen my friend.’ ‘ I wonder if maybe she wants to become more than friends, then on the other hand probably not.’ He thought depressingly. " Jacen I came here to tell you, um my feelings." Tenel Ka said suddenly.

" That’s not anything abnormal Tenel Ka, you tell me all the time about how you feel about things." Jacen said trying to be soothing, but inside his heart was racing..

" That is a fact, but not about how I feel about you..." she said looking at the ground. At that Jacen’s mouth dropped to the ground as well. " You see over the past few years my feelings for you have grown, past friendship." She said, still looking down.

" Tenel Ka are you trying to tell me that you love me?" He asked. Then the girl’s head raised and she looked directly into his eyes and then nodded. "YAHOOOO!" Jacen yelled as he jumped up. He grabbed Tenel Ka’s hand and pulled her into a hug and spun her around in a circle.

Then he was surprised again when a huge smile crossed her face " I take it you have similar feelings?" Then she leaned forward and kissed him passionately on the lips

As the kiss ended Jacen looked into her breathtaking eyes and repeated her often used phrase "This is a fact!"

With that the sun rose over the thick blanket of mist and shined brightly onto a new day.
