Jacen laid on the rough rocky surface holding his lightsaber wound. He probably would have survived if he had immediate medic attention but know he had lost too much blood. He would die in the next ten minutes. Jacen forced himself to sit and lean against a tree. Oh stars that hurt! His mind screamed. Jacen grunted and tried to make himself more comfortable.
Jacen closed his eyes and tried to dull the pain with the force. It only helped a little. Jacen opened his eyes again a shifted his gaze to the dead body a couple feet ahead of him. The kid was called Dalleroin Perrr. He was new at the academy. Jacen didn’t even know why he attacked him. He would have killed Jacen if he didn’t strike him down. Before Jacen was able the sink his blade into the boys chest the boy slashed his chest open.
At least I’m taking a dark Jedi out with me Jacen thought as he felt his body start to shut down. Jacen was about to close his eyes and connect with the force when a figure leaped out of the bush. It was Tenel Ka.
" Tenel Ka… I thought I wouldn’t be able to see you .. again.." Jacen said weakly staring into her gray eyes. God he could get lost in those eyes. Her face twisted in horror and she ran to him. " Jacen my friend what happened! Who did this to you?" She said quietly. Jacen took in a deep breath and signaled Tenel Ka to come closer to him. She did. Jacen reached for her and started to rub her cheek. Jacen could see tears from her eyes. " I’m.. dying… I don’t have much time… Tenel Ka I have something to say to you," He said trying not sound scared. " What is it Jacen?" Tenel Ka said and she wrapped her arms around him and let him lay his head on her lap. " Tenel Ka.. I loved you… I was too afraid to say it but I do…. I just wanted you to know that...before I died," Jacen sputtered out with some difficulty. Tenel Ka stared down at him and then burst into tears. Jacen got back into a sitting position and breathed heavily. " Tenel Ka .. please tell my mom and my dad I love them… Tell Jaina to go on and live her life I’ll always be with her.. And tell .. Anikan to behave or I’ll come back in spirit and kick his butt.." Jacen said.
" Jacen, Don’t leave me. I need you … I .. I .. I love you," Tenel Ka said tears still rolling down her face. Jacen leaned closer and kissed her softly on the lips. She returned the kiss. The kiss felt like it lasted all night but it probably only lasted 30 seconds. It was interrupted by Jacen coughing. Blood spurted out of his mouth and he stared at Tenel Ka with fear in his eyes. " I .. love you," He called out as he started to fade away.
